Which Coronation Memorabilia is REALLY Made in the UK?
With the upcoming coronation of King Charles III, you’ll no doubt find countless products in high street stores to mark the occasion. But how can you tell which ones are really made in the UK?
Unfortunately, the answer is not always straightforward. The term Fake it British comes to mind when we see phrases like ‘designed in the UK’, ‘developed in the UK‘ or even ‘homegrown‘ to give you the impression that the products are made here when in reality they are made in the Far East.
While we know many consumers care about the origin of the products they purchase, it can be difficult to determine the true origin of a product when conflicting symbols like the Union Jack are used.
So how do you REALLY know if a product is made in the UK? Well, at Make it British we advise consumers to take a good look at the website selling the product. Do they state anywhere on their about page or product pages where the product was manufactured? If not, you can always email or contact them via social media to ask.
We’ve enlisted the help of our Make it British members to bring you the most fabulous King’s coronation products that are actually made in the UK amongst all of the faux-British paraphernalia.
